Job Description

Twitter’s Product & IP Team seeks an experienced, goal-oriented, self-motivated teammate to support an effective and efficient Legal team through technology and process improvement. You will be expected to provide project management capabilities, oversee day-to-day operations, work cross-functionally to resolve operational challenges, provide proactive analysis of operational trends, and take on tasks with varying complexity and increasing responsibility.

Product & IP Counsel are key advisors to Twitter’s product, engineering, design, research, marketing, and business development teams. We are regularly involved in critical, complex operations, and partner across the business to solve challenging problems to enable and protect Twitter. What You’ll Do: 

You will work closely with many teams across Twitter on initiatives to support our Product Counsel & IP team in working effectively and efficiently, including:

  • Oversee and maintain our Product Counsel and IP review queues

  • Drive cross functional initiatives and projects from inception through to completion

  • Solve operational challenges at the source, using data and other innovative solutions

  • Create and analyze reports and dashboards to monitor and investigate trends 

  • Field initial questions from our cross-functional teams and escalate to the appropriate attorneys as necessary

  • Partner with legal teams to document legal workflow processes and create internal resources including training decks, checklists, and FAQs 

  • Identify trends to create internal workflow improvements to drive efficiencies and collaborate with others to make those improvements a reality

  • Help with ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience

  • 3+ years in an operations or customer support role at a tech company, preferably with in-house high-growth start-up experience

  • Experience with ticketing systems and/or a strong background in operations 

  • Enthusiasm for debugging and documentation

  • Ability and strong desire to work in a fast-moving environment, build relationships across the business and work effectively together to solve problems

  • A devotion to detail and organization; process-oriented and high comfort level with navigating disparate systems

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects across functional departments

  • You have excellent judgment and ability to work independently, but escalate issues and seek sign off/guidance appropriately

  • Courage to take initiative, address problems, and make continuous process improvements

  • Willing to work on a broad variety of matters - learning new things is exciting to you, and you are willing to roll-up-your-sleeves and help where needed

 Bonus Points:

  • Experience working in G Suite, Slack, Jira, Confluence, and Adobe Experience Manager

  • Project management certifications (e.g. scrum master, PMP)

  • Familiarity with legal concepts (e.g. privacy and data protection, consumer protection) and product development process

  • Experience working in a cross-cultural international environment
