Join the Twitter Privacy and Data Protection Team!

 

We are looking for an experienced Privacy and Data Protection Risk Analyst to help evolve and support the privacy risk management program at Twitter. As a Privacy and Data Protection Risk Analyst at Twitter, you’ll work with team members who are passionate about privacy risks and enabling business growth in a way that makes us proud. You’ll be part of a team responsible for a wide range of cross-functional privacy risk management initiatives. You’ll be working in close collaboration with teams throughout the company, and will help us to identify and assess the most critical privacy risks ensuring our top problems are addressed as required. You must bring exceptional operations design and management experience, solid understanding of privacy, data protection principles and risk management, as well as creativity, to your daily role. You should have a track record of collaborating and thriving in a fast-paced team environment.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Be a cross-functional champion for privacy risk management.

  • Support risk owners guiding them to be cognizant of critical issues and assisting them to define the best risk response strategy. 

  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to analyze privacy risks identified through existing processes (e.g. Privacy Impact Assessments) or ad/hoc (e.g. self-identification) producing agreed results with all stakeholders of inherent and residual risks results. 

  • Produce and enhance different key risk metrics and risk reporting for all audiences impacted.

  • Influence others to take the right decision under the Privacy Risk landscape. 

  • Manage and support internal and external audits and assessments and any subsequent commitment that may help to reduce Privacy risk at Twitter.  

  • Work with cross functional teams across Twitter who work with personal data (e.g., Product, IT, HR, etc.) to establish processes and ensure risk management through project lifecycles. 

  • Support and manage various one off critical privacy risk remediation related projects.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of work experience on risk management for technology and data processes and environments.

  • 3+ years of work experience on privacy or technology law, policy, programs, or other related fields.

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field. Non-lawyer role but recovering lawyers are more than welcome. 

  • Hands-on practice executing qualitative and quantitative risk analysis on complex environments.

  • Experience in heavy technological environments and matrixed organizations.

  • Knowledge of  Privacy compliance standards (e.g. ISO27701 and/or regulations (e.g. GDPR) and Risk Management frameworks (e.g. ISO31000 or NIST 800-53)

  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional groups to set objectives and produce results.

  • Experience managing, organizing, and coordinating projects and process-improvements in a program.

  • CIPP, CDPSE privacy certifications are not required but are preferred. 

  • CRISC, CISSP, CISA security and risk management certifications are not required but are preferred.

Notice (Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act)

The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$128,000.00 - USD$179,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
