Job Description

The Design Program Manager is focused on leading strategic programs/projects/working groups that enable product and XFN impact, building scalable systems, rituals and processes for greater XFN collaboration and amplifying points of synergy and culture across Bluebird Design. You will work closely with other Design Program Managers, Product, Research, TPM and Engineering partners focused on building the consumer facing product.

What you’ll do: 

  • Design and drive large and complex XFN programs with diverse stakeholders

  • Create, implement and drive proposals and project plans

  • Ensure roles, responsibilities, and roadmap are clear throughout project execution

  • Serve as the central point of contact on programs for Design, Research, Product, Eng, and TPM partners

  • Organize design workshops and reviews that work towards product impact

  • Own and facilitate meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives, and establish clear next steps and owners while resolving blocks that impede progress.

  • Asses risk, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems for the larger teams

  • Send clear and concise status reports on a regular cadence, with a recovery path for any variance to plan

  • Own and execute change management for project and programs

  • Break silos between and within teams, connect dots

  • Actively initiate and program manage design initiatives to solve problems that directly impact product development velocity and quality 

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of proven design / creative program management experience, preferably with at least 3-4 years' experience working in or with tech companies 

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills – ability to communicate clearly and effectively to achieve desired outcomes – demonstrating keen understanding of the audience, and to facilitate stakeholders towards positive outcomes

  • Successful track record of managing complex programs, driving efficiencies without sacrificing quality or creativity, and implementing sustainable and scalable solutions 

  • Proven ability to architect high quality programs, mobilize and lead teams with flexibility and ease, sustain momentum to deliver quality results.

  • High design and research acumen – ability to create the conditions for, and drive the team towards, high quality design and research outcomes based on deep understanding of the value and methodologies of design and research.

  • An indefatigable spirit that always finds a way to get to positive outcomes

  • Technically adept and familiar with UI and UX trends on iOS, Android, and the web

  • Strong knowledge of project management, design and collaboration tools i.e Asana, Figma, Jira, Google Suite etc..

Notice (Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act)

The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$167,000.00 - USD$234,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
