Job Description

This role focuses on the Twitter ads marketplace, which is the primary source of revenue for Twitter’s business.  You’ll work closely with engineering managers, technical leads, sales, finance  and data scientists in addition to other product managers and leadership.

This role is vital to Twitter’s revenue by driving results for our advertisers while maintaining a positive user experience.  Twitter’s ad revenue facilitates the company’s greater mission of serving the public conversation around the world. The bidding systems are responsible for spending advertiser budgets smoothly at lowest cost.

In an average week, you’ll be collaborating with engineering managers, technical leads, product managers and stakeholders across many internal teams.

  • Deliver success on Twitter’s ads marketplace to create a fair, competitive and scalable ads bidding environment

  • Deeply understand the needs of internal teams to drive high-quality, rapid platform enhancements

  • Evaluate the results of experiments to inform decisions on optimal marketplace changes

  • Work with data scientists to size new opportunities across all lines of revenue products

  • Work with service owner teams to drive ML improvements to core bidding and campaign pacing algorithms.

  • Orchestrate product development work outside of your core Engineering, Product, Design, Research teams, when necessary, by achieving cross-functional buy-in.

  • Synthesize insights from customers, customer meetings, usage data, and feedback to prioritize improvements and new feature ideas that will deliver business objectives and customer benefits.

  • Develop methods for assessing product and project success, and processes to increase the likelihood of it.

  • Establish and drive key metrics to measure the success of products and related initiatives

Qualifications

  • 3+ years product management or product design experience

  • Computer science or engineering background strongly preferred

  • Experience working on digital ad products and marketplace dynamics strongly preferred

  • Experience working with machine learning concepts and tools

  • Strong analytical ability with bias to make data-driven decisions

  • Ability to think strategically and craft a compelling product vision and roadmap

  • Scrappy, “impact-focused” attitude

  • Experience driving impact through cross-functional collaboration

  • Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical, creative and strategic thinking abilities

Notice (Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act)

The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$167,000.00 - USD$234,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
