Job Description

Twitter’s Site Integrity team works on the cutting edge of issues that affect the internet today — from combating spam and computational propaganda, minimizing harmful misinformation, to building new tools to keep the world informed during major events.

You will work on impactful initiatives such as risk and harm analyses and identifying misinformation narratives propagating in the JAPAC region. The analyses and investigation would drive policy changes and enforcement decisions across the Site Integrity team.

You will have the opportunity to work with partners to adapt and develop policies on misinformation across APAC, scale its enforcement, and identify gaps in policies.

Qualifications

  • An Undergraduate or Post-graduate student with BA/BS/MA/MS in International Affairs, Communication Studies, Journalism, Media Studies, Political Science, Economics, Information Studies, Risk Management, or Law 

  • You have an understanding of online safety, privacy, and freedom of expression, with specific experience in identity and mis- and disinformation issues in the APAC region.

  • You understand human rights frameworks and are passionate about the intersection between human rights, identity, and misinformation.

  • You are passionate about understanding and combating threats to online conversational health, and aren’t afraid of tackling high-impact problems at massive scale.

  • You have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • You are humble, curious, and a fast learner who brings positivity and a solution-focused attitude to all tasks.

  • You work well under pressure, and can promptly engage with new and complex problems to identify and implement solutions.

  • Fluency in Indonesian, Hindi, Thai, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Tagalog, or other Asian language(s) is a plus
