“The Lab” is an embedded team within Twitter Next that specifically combines design, data science, and technology to push the limits of what’s possible with Twitter for our most ambitious brand and agency partnerships. We are looking to add an Associate Creative Technologist, eager to grow their capabilities alongside a high-performing team.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll become an expert in Twitter’s platform and technologies to help translate high-level creative briefs into viable, headline-worthy experiences for Twitter’s top advertisers
  • Collaborate with senior staff on defining functional requirements and managing program deliveries
  • Develop prototypes to assess feasibility and illustrate novel ideas
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, providing technical as well as creative inputs
  • Engaging in client meetings
  • Articulate progress and issues in a timely manner; Be effective in managing up
  • Research technical documentation, APIs and integrations with 3P technologies as directed by the project lead
  • Proactively evaluate new technologies and beta features to identify opportunities, trends and best practices, sharing insights and learnings with the team

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience working at a creative agency, production studio or tech company with exposure to a diverse range of brand activations, or equivalent experience
  • Full-stack development experience; understanding of HTML5, JavaScript (Node.js, React)
  • Ability to think outside the box and devise creative workarounds to technical challenges or limitations
  • Basic knowledge of architectural principles necessary for designing scalable, extensible and maintainable applications
  • Experience in working with APIs and webhooks; Hands-on experience building integrations with Twitter’s API is a plus
  • Comfortable establishing and maintaining positive, respectful relationships with peers and external partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Portfolio including experiments and side projects
  • Awareness of good user experience; Familiarity with ie. Photoshop/Figma, Balsamiq, Keynote
  • Research and quantitative skills
  • Knowledge about Twitter platform, functionality and ad products

Notice (Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act)
The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$99,000.00 - USD$129,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
