Job Description

Who We Are:

Tweet Services team owns the core application infrastructure for storing and serving Tweets at scale and in real time.  We provide the fundamental abstractions and APIs for life cycle management of Tweets. Our customers include a wide range of teams that build Consumer, Revenue and developer API products for Twitter. 

Our vision is to provide a scalable, reliable, self service Tweet platform which enables product teams to quickly and safely build and iterate on Tweet related features at scale.

What You’ll Do:

  • Rearchitect our core systems that power Tweet functionality

  • Collaborate closely with our customers and cross functional partners to deliver high impact projects

  • Influence the roadmap and technical direction of the team 

  • Work with a highly collaborative team on design and development of fundamental Tweet capabilities that will increase the pace of product development

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • At least 6+ years of proven experience with backend software development

  • Experience  leading complex and diverse work, projects, and programs that positively impact multiple teams

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work on ambiguous problems

  • Experience with architecting and maintaining scalable and reliable distributed systems

  • Experience in Scala or other JVM-based languages preferred
