As a business intelligence engineering manager, you will be building and overseeing a new team that has the mission of driving consistency in the way Twitter monitors and reports its key metrics. The members of your team form tight partnerships with data scientists, data engineers, and product managers all across Twitter’s business, developing deep subject matter expertise while evangelizing best practices in data visualization and analysis.  

You have the technical capacity to partner with tech leads and are comfortable diving into the fray to help drive resolutions to challenges that your team encounters, but you primarily focus on giving your team the tools, context, confidence, and motivation to make decisions effectively and independently.

You take responsibility for the group’s short-term and long-term strategy, define the team's roadmap, success metrics, and priorities in close collaboration with multi-functional partners and inspire your team to independently do the same.

• 4+ years of relevant experience in analytics, data engineering or adjacent roles
• 2+ years of experience managing data analysts
• Strong communication and data visualization skills
• Proficiency in SQL
• Previous experience working with a BI tool (Tableau, Looker, Mode, etc.)
• Previous experience with ETL and building data pipelines preferred
