Job Description

At Twitter, Strategy & Operations (S&O) is a high impact, high visibility team whose mission is to drive strategic alignment and operational improvements across the company. We partner with product, engineering, design & research leadership to promote strategic decision-making and efficient execution of the corporate strategy that delivers on Twitter’s purpose to serve the public conversation. For the Consumer business, S&O enables an elite Consumer organization that delivers healthy growth.

In this role, you will drive strategic and operational advancements that enable scale and accelerate growth within a core Pillar of the Consumer organization, and help deliver results through execution of our top Company Objectives. 

Example project work and responsibilities:

  • Develop the rhythm of execution for a core Pillar within the Consumer organization and remove obstacles that are driving organizational inefficiency

  • Orchestrate the overall strategic planning process for Consumer Engineering, Product, Design & Research (EPDR) teams, including product roadmaps, goal setting, and investment planning

  • Identify and find creative solutions to remove obstacles to growth in the near term while developing and driving towards scalable operating frameworks for the long term

  • Build a successful and healthy team: review, design, and execute on improvements to org structure, find knowledge and skills gaps and help address them, design optimal workflows, and align internal processes

  • Represent your Consumer Product Pillar as key liaison in coordinating with other internal planning functions (e.g. Finance, HR, etc.)

  • Develop content and drive communication across engineering, product, design, research, and rest of the company, communicating regular product updates, key results, and consolidating strategic plans for review with the Twitter executive team and the Board

  • Lead short-term deep dives and cross-functional project teams to structure and perform analyses needed to develop recommendations

  • Work closely with senior executives and collaborative across teams and organizations

  • Think strategically and solve multi-faceted problems for teams using frameworks and data

  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives, and help teams make strategic decisions

Qualifications

  • 8+ of relevant experience, preferably with 3+ years at a tech company or tech arm of a company

  • 2+ years managing elite teams 

  • Experience writing executive-level communications or proposals and presenting to executive or cross-functional audiences

  • Experience in managing team level resourcing/staffing

  • Experience working directly with the Executive/VP level 

  • Experience using internal or external data to inform strategy and decision-making

  • Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.

  • Proven ability to drive organizational change effectively. Experience with fast growing, scaling organizations, leading transitions and bringing teams along the journey.

  • Experience working with Consumer product is preferred
