Job Description

We lead cross-functional delivery of critical initiatives across the company, focusing on improving healthy participation in the public conversation. Twitter’s Technical Program Management Health team leads operations and delivery of Twitter’s highest priority health work, empowering Twitter’s Engineering, Product and cross-functional teams to thrive and scale. Health at Twitter is made up of many teams to accomplish our goal of increasing healthy participation in the public conversation.  Some of those teams include; Misinformation, Sensitive & Illegal Content, Privacy, Abuse and Civic Integrity. TPM at Twitter is a centralized org with a diverse bench of industry leaders working across all orgs in the company. As a member of the Health TPM team, you will be responsible for leading TPMs to drive the future of Twitter’s products, tools, and platforms, while leading cross-functional initiatives that span the breadth of the company.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead, mentor and grow a team of 4-6 Technical Program Managers who drive planning and execution of high impact programs throughout the company with Health

  • Drive hiring, performance reviews, continuous feedback, and career growth feedback for your team

  • Develop partnerships with leaders across the company and within Health

  • Influence peers and other managers while building consensus and dealing with ambiguity

 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Experienced cross-functional lead with a solid track record partnering with product teams to define strategy and requirements

  • Proficient collaborating with engineering teams to design, scope, and deliver high scale services within distributed systems

  • Consistently a trusted leader, able to drive large teams and executives through complex data-driven decisions

  • Thrive amid ambiguity

  • Able to influence others toward shared vision and forward progress

  • Multitasker, with capacity to own and execute multiple large programs simultaneously

  • A role model, coach and mentor to others, with an eye on team efficiency and helping others succeed.

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering or a related field

  • 5+ years as a TPM, engineering leader, product manager, or related field

  • 2+ years experience directly leading a team

  • Experience working with different development methodologies and productivity tools

  • Consistent track record of shipping products at scale, with customer impact

  • Experience building or managing work on highly-available, scalable software products and services

  • Consistent record of identifying and resolving systemic issues in both software and people systems
