Twitter is looking for a motivated leader to join us as the Manager, Workforce Management to stand up and lead our new Workforce Management team! In this role, you will develop and implement Twitter’s Workforce Management Strategy as it relates to Positions.
Job Description
The candidate will lead a Workforce Management team that will partner alongside stakeholders across the business to create, update and report on positions in Workday on a day to day basis. The team will partner with stakeholders across Twitter to help translate headcount plan to positions, lead the process for tool based position management including defining and maintaining position related workflows. As the team lead, the candidate will play an instrumental role in setting the future direction of the Twitter Workforce Management team as it relates to Positions.
The ideal candidate has a strong business acumen with a deep understanding of the Workforce planning lifecycle, including organizational structures, strategic organizational management and budgeting. The Manager, Workforce Management will establish positive, professional relationships with major cross-functional stakeholders and act as a trusted partner and a respectful challenger. Lastly, this position requires excellent people management, organizational and leadership skills, critical thinking, and strong communication skills. The candidate must also be able to influence change, thrive in dynamic and ambiguous environments, and be self-directed.
What you'll do
Build and stand up our global Workforce management team, develop and implement our global Workforce management strategy
During annual planning, work with functional teams to define new position details and upload into the system
Act as the process owner of Twitter’s position management and champion the tool
Ensure accuracy and integrity of Twitter position data
Manage and maintain position reports, work with people systems team to develop new reports if applicable
Participate in testing and training as we roll out the position management tool
Continuously improve and enhance the position management process and system
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
8 plus years of relevant experience working in a workforce management or program management role
Strong understanding of strategic organizational planning and workforce strategy concepts
Strong business acumen and the ability to comprehend business processes across multiple Twitter organizations to be able to act as a trusted advisor on workforce management to internal stakeholders of different organizations
Experience in building and leading high performing teams in a global organization, strong people management and mentoring skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capability to actively listen to business partners & articulate issues in a clear and concise manner
Power-user of Workday Headcount management
Experience with GSuite, Jira & Confluence
