Longform Operations Lead

  • Full-time

Company Description

Twitter is what’s happening and what people are talking about right now. For us, life's not about a job, it's about purpose. We believe real change starts with conversation. Here, your voice matters. Come as you are, as you were, as I want you to be; as a friend, as a friend, as an old enemy and together we'll do what's right (not what's easy) to serve the public conversation.

Job Description

Twitter is looking for an Operations Lead to join the Longform team. We’re focused on empowering writers and publishers to grow, understand, and engage their audiences. On the consumption side, we help customers dive into content aligned with their interests and engage in conversation with other readers paying similar attention. We love the sharing of news and knowledge that longform media delivers. We believe consumers want to support creators monetarily and with their feedback. It’s the conversation that will push published ideas forward.

As the Operations Lead on the Longform Team, you will use your program management skills to implement strategic initiatives across our creator and consumer product pillars, partnering closely with Executive Leadership, Product Management, Engineering Management, Technical Leadership and cross-organizational and cross-functional roles. The ideal candidate will have a sharp mind for solving ambiguous and complex problems in a pragmatic way. You have a strong talent for aligning goals across cross-functional teams by bringing structure, teamwork, and critical thinking. With a strong appreciation for program management principles, you assess organizational priorities, work through trade-offs, and facilitate decisions to keep the Longform team focused, accountable and high-performing; and stakeholders across Twitter engaged and informed on metrics, milestones, progress and risks. Ultimately, you are driven by the will to create an inclusive work experience for your product & engineering teams and nurture program success from inception to completion.

  • Identify and creatively resolve complex technical and cross-functional issues.
