Job Description
Twitter's Cortex organization accelerates the impact of machine learning at Twitter by enabling rapid experimentation and responsible ML through open collaboration. We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead the product definition and development of tweet (text) understanding using natural language processing technology. This product will provide product teams across all of Twitter valuable signals from the ML understanding of tweets (text) that will create a direct and positive impact on our users. The primary responsibilities for this role include the following:
- Partner closely with product teams to understand their business goal and how NLP empowered tweet understanding can address their needs
- Translate customer needs into product and technical requirements
- Contribute to long term NLP & tweet understanding vision & strategy in Cortex
- Drive clear product definition and roadmap to achieve business goals
- Define and track metrics to measure product quality and business impact
- Communicate product status and impact to customers, collaborators and leadership
- Collaborate closely with engineers, researchers, data scientists, TPM and other product managers
- Evangelize AI/Ml/NLP across the firm and promote adoption and enablement of NLP tweet understanding
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in Product Management, or similar role (engineering manager) leading cross-functional product or software engineering teams
- 3+ years experience shipping AI/ML, specifically NLP related products, Data Management or Analytics products
- Experience in launching products from 0 to 1
- Experience drafting product strategy and plans, driving consensus and buy-off from executives level reviews
- Led and successfully delivered multiple projects with complexity requiring cross team collaboration
- MBA or Master/PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or equivalent professional experience

Notice (Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act):
The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$191,000.00 - USD$267,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
