Twitter’s Finance Systems team is searching for an energetic, motivated, proactive Senior Finance Systems Analyst to join the team! The candidate will support the finance systems manager and help to manage and enhance our Finance systems landscape/processes with a focus on (including but not limited to) Oracle ARCS, EDM, and Narrative Reporting applications. You will work alongside the finance systems manager and Enterprise Performance Management IT group to support a variety of systems-focused activities such as: application functional maintenance, enhancement implementation, UAT execution, user-engagement/change management, and other activities that may arise.
While most technical and implementation activities will be managed by the EPM IT group, the Finance Systems team is responsible for ensuring the business’ needs are met by Twitter’s finance systems and applications, and act as the gatekeepers between business requirements and technical configuration. An ability to think critically, plan and execute effectively while collaborating with leaders in Finance will be key to success in this role.
The ideal candidate has a strong business acumen with a deep understanding of Oracle EPM systems, Finance operations, project management lifecycle, and finance system implementation. The Senior Finance Systems Analyst will establish positive, professional relationships with our major stakeholders, and act as a trusted partner and respectful challenger. The individual must be a strategic thinker while having the proven ability to work well with the entire organization to ensure consistency of processes across all departments and countries.
Job Description
- Serve as a functional system administrator and be the subject matter expert with Oracle EPM cloud application for the Finance team. This includes functional system administration and operations support of the Oracle EPM suite, of which expertise is required to manage, maintain, and build reports. This will also include management ( but not configuration) of automation and enhancement of Twitter’s Finance systems including, but not limited to: Oracle ARCS, Oracle EDM, and Oracle Narrative Reporting applications.
Provide initial issue analysis for issues raised by end users to the IT team and proactively identify enhancement opportunities to the EPM suite as implemented. Monitor and track systems bugs and issues identified by Finance teams, and assist end users in resolving them in a timely manner. Support end-user education to address any frequently asked questions system navigation and configuration questions.
Work with the EPM IT team and Finance team to review and vet business and system requirements, processes and/or systems design, plans for build, test and post-implementation to ensure successful implementation and execution. Understand upstream and downstream impact and changes.
Work closely with the EPM IT team to ensure implementation of EPM components/solutions meet business requirements and accomplish Twitter’s finance systems goals (including documenting current vs. future state system processes/flow)
Build, enhance, and maintain reports within Smartview and the Oracle Narrative Reporting Tool.
Identify opportunities for automation and transformation by assisting and training users to design and/or develop effective reports from Oracle EPM addressing internal and external reporting and using Smartview for ad-hoc reporting needs.
Perform month-end closing tasks and support the business during the close cycle in EPM and Oracle. Act as back-up support for other R2R & OTC system related close tasks if required.
Perform the necessary Finance Systems operational controls, including SOX. Maintain and ensure the timely and accurate generation of all reporting, ensuring consistency and standardization amongst the various types of reports and databases.
Manage the metadata maintenance process and policies, including driving charting of account change requests from the business and monitoring and daily administrative activities within the Oracle EDM tool
Define UAT scope and strategy with IT and align with the program manager and business to drive end-to-end UAT execution. Participate and develop end user UAT test plans and test scripts. Support the Finance team in testing; drive and perform user acceptance testing on new and changed functionality (including Oracle patch releases and updates), tracking enhancements, issues and pain-points to improve accounting & finance operational processes.

Qualifications
BS in Business, Finance, Systems, Computer Science or other related field
4-5 years relevant experience focussed on Finance projects and system enhancements.
Experience working with Oracle EPM products, including ARCS, EDM, Narrative reporting, as well as working in and developing Smartview reports and analytics.
Experience working on other reconciliation tools is preferred.
Functional knowledge and experience with Oracle EBS and EPM (Implementation of system functionalities and technical/solution design, metadata maintenance processes etc.).
Experience with global Finance operations is a big plus.
Experience with all aspects of IT system implementation including, but not limited to, as-is and to-be business process mapping, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, cutover and go-live activities.
Have strong digital and analytical skills: Superior data gathering, analytical and problem-solving skills; highly skilled in evaluation of information gathered from multiple sources.
Ability to decompose high-level financial information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding. Experience in Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, JIRA dashboard considered strong assets
Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills, ability to adapt communication to stakeholders at all levels.
Strong ability to develop clear and concise documentation and presentations to facilitate discussions / decisions with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to break down business/accounting processes into logic and functional requirements.
Strategic thinking, understand the intention and purpose of every task and decision to be made.
Strong driver and able to work in a fast paced environment.
Knowledge of using Gsuite (Google doc, slides, sheets, drive), MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word and Visio, Lucidchart for process flow, JIRA, and a project management tool.
