Product Manager - Metrics Platform

  • Full-time

Company Description

Twitter is what’s happening and what people are talking about right now. For us, life's not about a job, it's about purpose. We believe real change starts with conversation. Here, your voice matters. Come as you are, as you were, as I want you to be; as a friend, as a friend, as an old enemy and together we'll do what's right (not what's easy) to serve the public conversation.

Job Description

This role is part of Twitter’s Product Learning Platform. We build infrastructure and tools to understand how users interact with Twitter and how we can improve their experience.

Our customers are internal teams who use our tools to conduct user surveys, track key metrics, run experiments, and answer questions with analytics.

One of our most important goals is to make it simple to turn raw data into easily understood metrics. Teams across Twitter use metrics to understand their customers, run experiments, set and track goals, and monitor for bugs. We believe metrics provide a shared language for all of us to collaborate in a decentralized and data driven manner.

What You’ll Do:

You'll lead product development for the platforms that provide metrics for Twitter's product teams.  We are managing an existing platform with 100s of internal users while building a new platform to offer the next generation of metrics capabilities.  You’ll work closely with engineering, design and data scientists to build and improve these platforms.

You'll also work with many teams across Twitter building different parts of the user or advertiser experience (timelines, direct messages, video, topics, etc) to help them measure what matters using our metrics tooling.

You will:

  • Be the primary product partner for the engineering teams building Twitter’s metrics platform

  • Deeply understand the needs of the customer (internal teams at Twitter) and make sure that those needs are well understood by your teams

  • Safeguard user privacy throughout the metrics pipeline

  • Drive the product strategy for how Twitter teams define & use metrics

  • Keep open communication with leadership and the broader business for the critical work your teams are doing

  • Work closely with customer teams building the Twitter product to understand changing needs for metrics

  • Build relationships with partner teams across Twitter working to make it easier to learn about our users through data driven decision making
