The Position

You will be a part of a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities, collaborating with client engineers to optimize the build, test, and deployment cycle times for various projects. You will be responsible for leading highly technical and high performing teams across Release Engineering and Automation Frameworks and Tooling. Your strategic goals will be to automate operational tasks, streamline our processes to scale, and to identify process and technology gaps. As the manager of this new team, you will grow the team by sourcing and hiring talented people both externally and internally. You will work closely with stakeholders from product and platform to form the team’s strategy and roadmap and establish process and practices for the team.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the end-to-end release process across product development teams with a focus on ensuring high-quality and timely releases

• Evaluate release processes and identify areas for efficiency improvements and automation.

• Drive a culture of transparent, repeatable, predictable development processes.

• Own communication and visibility into  health, and quality of  releases.

• Design, develop and drive test automation processes, tools, and implementation.

• Has the technical capacity to partner with tech leads and is comfortable diving into the fray to help drive resolution.

• Promote continuous development and improvement within your team and broader engineering organization

• Partner with engineering teams cross the organization to refine the vision and work to deliver the test automation platform engineering teams can use

• Be a catalyst to promote ‘Quality First’ mindset throughout the cross-functional organization

• Mentor the professional development of each direct report through personal and performance management.

Qualifications

• B.S. or Masters in Computer Science with 5+ years of experience

• 2+ years of management experience managing a team of 8+ engineers

• 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership experience in quality and release engineering practices, test automation, CI/CD, SDLC, etc

• Technical understanding of development tools, source control, artifact management, and continuous integration build systems. e.g. GitHub, Jenkins, Harness

• Good understanding of Cloud technologies. (AWS/GCP) 

• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation solutions for Web, iOS, Android, or REST APIs
