Our mission as the Supplier Data Management (SDM) team is to ensure integrity and completeness of our master supplier portfolio. The SDM Tax & Compliance Analyst is a subject matter expert on the tax and components of our supplier database and is responsible for analyzing performance, identifying problems, leverage data to drive conclusions, and develop recommendations that support and enhance the program. As an SDM Tax & Compliance Analyst, you will be an integral part of our daily supplier operations as well as participating in projects that are transforming the future landscape of the Source to Pay organization. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Supplier Data Management.
Job Description
What You’ll Do
Manage the Global Procurement Tax team and process, collaborating closely with the Tax team to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
Act as a liason to the Compliance team and identify and mitigate potential supplier risks
Provide executive summaries, recommendations to management and daily functional support, including managing stakeholder inquires, tickets, ad hoc reporting
Engage with key business stakeholders to provide training and support
Prepare annual 1099 reporting and manage subsequent inquiries
Own the unclaimed property policy and process, including driving operational compliance, quarterly reporting and escheatment, and managing audits
Support M&A activity by performing supplier reviews and initiating onboarding
Provide consultative support on new product initiatives
Contribute to improvement of the supplier portal including compliance software integration
Create and maintain process documentation
Develop a robust repository of third-party artifacts and contract information
Propose alternative strategic and operational tactics to further improve overall results and efficiency
Collaborate with ERP team to resolve any system related issues
Participate in key projects and initiatives across Source to Pay including globalization of process, automation, and system enhancements
Assist with metrics preparation, root cause analysis, and remediation strategies
Qualifications
Who You Are
You have at least 4-5 years of experience in Procure to Pay functions with specialization in Supplier Data Management, Compliance, and Tax
Good comprehension of third-party risk management terms and concepts, including contracting
Experience preparing 1099s (bonus points if you have 1042-S experience, too)
Solid understanding of government tax forms and their requirements, such as IRS Forms W-9 and the W-8 series, VAT registration certificate, Tax registration certificate
Experience managing an outsourced shared service team, overseeing SLAs and providing direction
Knowledge of state escheatment laws
Experience working with external auditors and coordinating audit deliverables
You have high ethical standards, strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
You are comfortable with “tech speak” and engaging both technical and non-technical teams across the globe
You exhibit a can-do spirit and approach your work with curiosity, resilience, and a growth mindset in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment
Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
You have a solid point of view based on experience and logic and are excited to share it

Experience with Oracle R12, Tableau, ticketing tools (e.g. JIRA, Salesforce)
