Job Description

We are hiring a Content Specialist to help us pilot experiments that will unlock opportunities to apply and scale Curation expertise throughout Twitter. 

This role can be remote in the UK/US or located in our London/New York/San Francisco offices.

We are looking for a creative editorial expert with proven skills finding great content on Twitter and putting it in context; expert knowledge of content standards and ethics; and an aptitude for translating content insights into product strategies and executions.

We need a team player who can navigate ambiguity, energetically propose new ideas or approaches, repeatedly dive into new work streams, is comfortable taking risks and willing to fail often in order to learn. 

The ideal candidate will be able to show high potential to work effectively with editorial, product, design, and/or engineering teams to build new things to delight and inform our customers. We’re also looking for clear evidence that someone can lead projects through definition, completion, and retrospective stages. 

This is a strategic role offering a rare opportunity to help Curation redefine how information is organized and contextualized on the world’s most influential social media platform.

Success in this role is measured by:

  • Influencing and executing a long-term strategy for success

  • Using data to advance projects through multiple stages, and most importantly to drive significant product impact

  • Developing content experiments with XFN partners that test new opportunities and approaches to curation that deliver product impact and/or insights

What you'll do:

  • Help evolve Curation’s content strategy, with emphasis on launching lightweight experiments to test hypotheses frequently

  • Work with agility and enthusiasm as strategic priorities inevitably evolve

  • Deliver on team goals and road maps, and identify key findings that inform future work

  • Communicate team progress effectively and engagingly in multiple forums

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners as part of a distributed team

  • Track success metrics regularly and share as needed; propose new, better metrics when appropriate

Qualifications

  • BA/BSc degree or equivalent experience

  • Written and verbal fluency in English; other languages a plus 

  • Proficient in collaborating with PMs and/or ML engineers in defining schemas and attributes that drive deeper understanding of media and content

  • Proven experience with content curation products or platforms, preferably Twitter, resulting in stronger metrics or other positive outcomes

  • Comfort managing projects end-to-end, and to communicate key takeaways quickly and persuasively in a variety of forums
