Twitter’s Quality Engineering (QE) Engineering team is seeking a strong, talented Senior Software Engineer to help test and deliver cutting edge applications used by millions of people around the world. Have the opportunity to work on exciting new projects such as Twitter Blue, performance advertising, Spaces and many more. This position is available either fully remote or based in one of our main US offices.

Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop and maintain functional, regression, integration and end-to-end tests using Java and Scala.
  • Think strategically to improve testing processes and help define best practices while providing high quality and scalable solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines used by both Development and QE.
  • Work closely with one or more development teams to support back end, infrastructure and analytics testing.
  • Partner with release engineering and other cross functional teams (design, product, data science) to understand and improve the quality of Twitter’s product offerings.

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of programming experience in Python, Java, Scala or C#.
  • Have a can-do, do what needs to be done attitude.
  • Have the ability to shift priorities quickly and multi-task.
  • Are a fast learner with good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Are efficient in effort estimation, planning, prioritization and time management.

Desired Skills:

  • Have 2+ years experience as a software developer in test, including test automation experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze information and identify and formulate solutions to problems.
  • Self driven to complete work within a reasonable timeframe under minimal supervision of a manager.
  • Strong knowledge of project management practices and ability to document processes and procedures as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other project team members and independently on assigned tasks and deliverables with minimum supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with users at all levels, and across different functions, verbally and in writing.

Notice (Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act)

The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$146,000.00 - USD$204,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
