We are looking for a talented individual who has a passion for privacy related challenges and is adept at driving continuous compliance practices while representing Twitter’s users and their privacy at the forefront. You will help teams implement the required standards and procedures by driving the requirements into features. You will ensure that the compliance programs throughout the organization  are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting noncompliance with accreditation benchmarks.

 

In this role, you will interact with product, business, legal and engineering teams across the company to develop deep insights and drive improvements into the mechanics incorporating compliance and privacy-by-design into product life cycles.

 

You will also proactively assist external agencies in accreditation audits by providing status updates, following up on recommendations on noncompliant items and identifying new processes before the audit. You will also have the opportunity to participate in working group calls with regulatory bodies. 

Who We Are:

As a TPM in Twitter, your responsibilities will span the life of the product/service. This includes collaborating with business stakeholders by influencing strategy & vision, creating and communicating a successful design by collaborating with product, engineering and design stakeholders. You will also establish processes for improved execution, tracking and risk management, and improving the product & execution quality by instituting best practices. 

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop expertise in specific requirements such as MRC

  • Synthesize requirements into actionable roadmap items for Twitter

  • Drive execution across cross functional teams by partnering with key stakeholders, building an understanding of how their teams works and how privacy compliance requirements would impact the product/team. 

  • Own and drive external communications with auditors and regulatory agencies

  • Translate privacy and legal requirements to product and engineering teams 

  • Become a trusted partner working cross-functionally with engineer, product and business teams building a deep understanding of how their teams work, their needs and how privacy compliance can be operationalized into their teams.

  • Increase overall effectiveness by systematically identifying and solving root cause organizational and technological challenges discovered throughout program delivery

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Experienced cross-functional lead, with 5+ years as a TPM, engineering leader, product manager, or related discipline

  • Excellent communication skills and prior experience with internal and external exec briefings

  • Prior experience in interacting with industry working groups is preferred

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline

  • Experience working with several different development methodologies and productivity tools

  • Solid track record partnering with product teams to define strategy and requirements

  • Proficient collaborating with engineering teams to design, scope, and deliver high scale services within distributed systems

  • Proven ability to identify and resolve systemic issues in both software and people systems
