Sr. Director of Strategy & Operations, 0-1 Team

As the Strategy & Operations Director of the 0-1 Team, you will help lead a new cross functional initiative within Twitter that is focused on making our company more efficient. Your role will be to help this new team create new processes and structures as well as collaborating with existing teams to utilize best in class solutions for a modern evolving company. 

This role is deeply cross-functional, partnering with Design, Research, Product and Engineering and eventually beyond into other areas of the company.

What You’ll Do

  • Define new programs and innovative solutions for ways of working to make Twitter a decentralized company. You’ll be focused on three main areas: people, process and systems.

  • Amplify programs across the organization to gain champions, drive adoption and change culture.

  • Measure existing and new solutions to understand their impact and effectiveness.

  • Improve based on measurements and external data points. 

  • Lead your team with empathy through execution, by motivating, energizing, empowering, supporting, and advocating for them

  • Navigate social dynamics gracefully, and establish yourself and the team as a neutral entity that shines daylight on program areas that need attention

Qualifications

  • Seasoned manager with 12+ years leading large teams and other managers in Strategy and Ops.

  • Successfully led change management efforts in the past

  • Depth of understanding of complex organizational dynamics, matrix organization, functional teams vs multi disciplinary teams

  • Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders at the top levels of a company

  • Passionate team builder who mentors and supports other leaders, and who invests in their team to help them unlock their potential

  • Strong technical background and program management expertise

  • Executive level communication, with an emphasis on written skills

  • Systems thinker and a quantitative approach to problem solving

  • Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability and results

  • Excellent cross-team collaboration, able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.

  • Dedication to teams over individuals as the primary performance unit

  • Strong growth mentality and a servant leadership approach
