Job Description

Feature Infrastructure is a group of teams within our Client Foundation organization, one of the fastest growing, most heavily prioritized divisions within all of engineering. Our teams design and develop the core of the Twitter iOS, Android, and web apps, from building and extending rich application frameworks to tooling, extend frameworks, and supercharge our partners to develop the product faster, safer, and more consistently than ever before.

 

The Feature Infrastructure teams mission is to support feature teams to prototype, iterate rapidly, and productionize with ease by providing guidance and frameworks for product teams to build business logic effectively and easily.

 

Our goal is to ensure that client engineers feel empowered and excited to work productively, confidently, and autonomously, and to ultimately ship with confidence.

 

Overall, you will be joining a community of 80+ engineers, grouped into sub teams with specific domain focus. Our team is made up of people from all over the world. We work from London, San Francisco, Boston, Colorado and New York, and as well as collaborating with folks remotely across the United States. We welcome people from all backgrounds!   

Qualifications

  • Drive the group’s technical strategy and roadmap – creating success metrics in close collaboration with other Engineering Managers, Tech Leads and Product Managers.
  • Have a hunger to move quickly and ship, but also find opportunities to collaborate with partner teams to build reusable infrastructure.

  • Foster effective team dynamics to build, manage, support high performing teams

  • You are a passionate coach who cares about people development. Servant Leadership is at your core! 

  • Ensure all teams fully understand the goals and objectives of Twitter as a company and how their work fits in the bigger picture.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • You have a Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science (or similar) or equivalent work experience

  • You have 5+ years experience managing people

  • You have experience managing 2 or more engineering teams simultaneously

  • You have spent time building UI, platforms, services or worked closely with feature teams
