Job Description

We are looking for an extraordinary, experienced AI/ML product manager to own the advancement of core ranking and ML infrastructure for relevance solutions across Twitter. In this role, you will help define our strategy and roadmap for optimizing the efficiency of matching content to our customers’ interests and intent. Twitter is one massive ranking/relevance application and this role will help shape the core of how well we do the main job for which our customers hire us. You’ll work with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and researchers, and partner with all modeling and delivery teams.

Our company's purpose is to serve the public conversation. The relevance Platform team helps serve that conversation by making it easy for people to find and join the best conversations related to their interests. This team owns the backend service that powers many of the core customer-facing surfaces at Twitter like Home, Notifications and Search. This is a product that is core to Twitter’s continued success - surfacing the best content for our users where and when they want it most.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do:

  • Display strong leadership, organizational and execution skills.

  • Is the primary driver for identifying significant opportunities, and driving product vision, strategies and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals.

  • Incorporate data, research and market analysis to inform product strategies and roadmaps.

  • Leads and motivates a team of engineers and other cross-functional representatives, and maintains team health.

  • Understand Twitter’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are aligned with our mission and recognized best in the industry.

  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.

 

Who You Are: 

  • 7+ years of engineering or product management experience working on ranking, personalization or machine learning applications.

  • M.S or Ph.D. in Computer Science, related discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Experience building and shipping applications or software of features/products that encompass an end-to-end experience within a large-scale, ambiguous domain.

  • Experience of going through a full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution.
