Job Description
Twitter's Global Business Marketing (GBM) team is looking for a candidate strong in the areas of business intelligence and analysis, with a vision of how to implement those skills to drive Twitter's B2B marketing function. In this role, you will access, analyze, and study various data and information to discover key drivers of marketing/business in digital advertising, social network, and other upcoming digital spaces.
You will leverage analytical tools to perform your job with a good level of autonomy, while collaborating with the team to define, prioritize, and solve marketing/business issues. You will also have an opportunity to work with multiple local & global functions and external partners in the relatively new, flexible, and widely-used fast-growing platform.
Responsibilities for this role:
The candidate's role will be to develop and implement analytical frames and disciplines into the Japan GBM workstreams. Also, this role requires the candidate to build a strong understanding of the market & industry insights and dynamism.
Specifically, lead data analyses and market studies as follows;
Conduct numerical analyses of Twitter internal business marketing data (e.g., customer reach, traffic to our Website & time to spend on it, cost per acquisition...). Then, communicate deep and complex insights to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Access and discuss Twitter sales-related data, including product adoptions, customer contacts, etc. Derive recommendations that have an impact on multiple teams and provide significant business value
Analyze tweet volumes, our proprietary data asset, by collaborating with local research teams. Also, co-work with Global research teams to examine Brand and Customer tracking data to capture emerging problems and opportunities
Run simulations and develop modelings, where appropriate, by utilizing internal/external data to make and prove hypotheses for effective marketing campaigns
Initiate desk researches, literature searches, and effectively using available research tools
Lead industry and competitive intel to be well informed about industrial trends/development and best practices to stay ahead in the game
Propose a new research project as necessary, and lead its implementation by mobilizing internal and external resources
Maximizing gained data, modelings, knowledge, and insights through the processes above, drive/contribute to;
Compelling business narrative and storytelling, ranging from concrete ad product solutions to thought leadership, which elevate Twitter’s values to customers
Continuous improvement in the team’s quarter marketing planning and assessment
Team’s annual and mid/long-term marketing strategies
Local Sales strategies from marketing perspectives, e.g., Customer segmentation, Customer journey, lead generations
Robust knowledge management, which helps us efficiently manage day-to-day business and projects. Also, expand relationship to global team (e.g., data scientists) to accelerate learning, knowledge-sharing, and global projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor or master degree
- Work experience as Business Intelligence, Data analyst, Data scientist, or equivalent. Business consultant background is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in writing SQL queries and pulling data from various data source
- Demonstrated experience in Tableau and other front end BI tools and dashboard tools
- Loves to look into data to uncover what is happening behind the surface and solve complex issues. Is keen to always find areas for improvement and consider how to fix them
- Savvy in digital, analytical, and data management tools, and is interested in their latest development
- A self starter with strong project management skills to deliver output in time
- A team player who is happy to collaborate and contribute to team’s achievements as well as personal accomplishments
- Strong written & verbal communication skills in Japanese; business-level proficiency in written English
- Proficiency of presentation tools (Apple Keynote and Google Slides), web-based meeting tools (Zoom, Bluejeans, Google Meet, etc.), and knowledge management tools (Highspot, etc) preferred
