Be part of a new design system team at Twitter. Twitter’s IT department is launching a new design system to support their internal tools and marketing products.

At Twitter our IT Web Systems Design team focuses on supporting business and design stakeholders to ensure our digital web properties meet their functional needs while maintaining a healthy and scalable web design system library. We are responsible for establishing processes for continual improvement, guiding development, and partnering with multiple stakeholders on a project-to-project basis to ensure governance and innovation go hand in hand. 

 

Job Description

You’ll participate in launching a new web design system to support Twitter’s non-product suite of websites.  Tasks will include designing, prototyping, and creating documentation for web design system components within Figma and Adobe Experience Manager.  You will work with internal Twitter business and design stakeholders to drive to a cohesive and collaborative design system strategy.

To strengthen our growing web design system team, we are looking for an experienced systems designer with knowledge of response design and accessibility best practices to help shape a scalable digital web design system.

If this sounds like you, you probably have experience with:

  • Designing, prototyping, and iterating elegant component solutions focused on solving stakeholder and agency partner needs.

  • Maintaining a component library within Figma or an equivalent design software.

  • Maintaining design system usage and pattern documentation.

  • Onboarding and guiding stakeholders in design system usage and best practices.

  • Collaborating with Twitter’s partner design system teams.

Ideally, you would also have experience with:

  • Experience or knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years designing responsive web products.

  • Experience working on or with large scale design systems.

  • Strong English writing and communication skills.

  • An understanding of web accessibility and best design practices.

  • Experience in creating and managing detailed component redlines and usage documentation.

  • A strong understanding of component libraries.

  • Experience in designing components with multiple states and interaction patterns.

  • Comfort in a fast-paced, highly-dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
