  • Full-time

Company Description

Here at Twitter, the Revenue Experience Team is responsible for all interfaces between Twitter ad products and advertisers. We build high quality, full-stack products that make it easy for advertisers to create and measure their campaigns and objectives.

Whether you're launching a product, promoting your brand story, or jumping into discussions about what matters most, Twitter Ads help you reach your goals. Our code operates at massive scale and speed, serving billions of requests per day, connecting hundreds of millions of active Twitter users to real-time information about their lives and the world we live in.

Job Description

The Mobile App Promotion team is tasked with dramatically improving the predictability that advertisers can expect from us when wanting to spend on Twitter to drive app installs and re-engagement. Today, this is seemingly random and can vary from day to day. We are responsible for end to end ownership of the system spanning the whole stack. Success will require us to focus on 3 broad areas - stability, performance and scale. Help us define and implement new architecture critical to our growing business.

To complete our journey towards a relaunched Mobile App Install Product, our team will be focusing on:

  • Enabling a stable and predictable platform that consistently delivers cost per actions inline with advertiser bids
  • Introducing new and improved products which achieve better lower funnel outcomes by optimizing towards advertisers’ primary KPIs
  • Investing in new supply opportunities so that we have the ability to deliver more installs, achieve higher spend through rates, and ultimately justify the effort required by advertisers to invest in our platform
  • Improving MAP serving scale:  Enhancing the performance on the existing surface such as Timeline, Search, and Profile.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience developing large scale distributed systems
  • Fluent in Java, Scala, C++, or any other JVM-based languages
  • Strong software engineering practices (e.g. coding, unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation)
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or similar technical field

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with data scientists and machine learning engineers
  • Relational and non relational database experience
  • MySQL, MapReduce, Python
  • Performance Ads or Ads product experience
