Who we are

The Global Social & Editorial team is part of Brand & Consumer Marketing at Twitter - we help shape the brand of Twitter, both on and off the platform. We activate and elevate the best of what’s happening on Twitter - the inspiring, the weird, the hilarious and everything in between. We work closely with stakeholders such as Comms, Product, and our executive leadership to help generate positive conversation, usage, and perception of Twitter.

What you’ll do

A first-of-its-kind, project based, role at Twitter, you will create social audio activations from the biggest Twitter Owned & Operated social channels (i.e. TwitterMusic, TwitterSports, TwitterGaming, etc.).  You will collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders on strategic positioning, franchise ideation, execution and measurement for programming on Twitter Spaces to drive maximum engagement on platform.  

You are obsessed with social media (Twitter, of course), you know how to build dynamic social marketing plans across various culture verticals, and you have incredible presentation skills. You know what it takes to drive conversation on Twitter and you have a vision for how we should leverage social audio to do so.   


 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience working within social media

  • Experience in the audio space, whether this is from radio, podcasts, or other social audio platforms 

  • Deep understanding and experience working with celebrities, public figures, creators, and their teams 

  • You are tuned into the social media timelines and aware of what all the trending conversations are, plus you know who is leading the conversations and why others will want to listen and join in

  • Able to distill complex cultural moments and conversations into actionable strategies and qualitative learnings for peers

  • Well-versed in community management strategy and how to drive social conversation through organic/owned channels

  • Excellent at stakeholder management, particularly with external talent and influencers with a social audience

  • A collaborative mind-set and ability to work with stakeholders and agency partners across a variety of marketing disciplines

  • A strong creative sensibility point of view and the ability to share and sell creative work

  • A deep understanding of the social audio space and how it generates conversation on Twitter 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage work streams between in-house creative teams, external agencies, and Global Social & Editorial teams to deliver impactful creative and strategy for live audio activations across multiple verticals

  • Collaborate with the wider Global Social team leads to provide social support for initiatives as relevant to their respective campaigns and activations

  • Leveraging human, cultural, and audience insights to develop timely social creative strategies that will be implemented by your team or supporting agencies.

  • Manage cross-functional interactions with key stakeholders and high-visibility partners

  • Act as a trusted advisor and expert to the business around social media's impact on all live audio marketing efforts

  • Act as a social expert in key areas, disseminating relevant insights to implement in our broader marketing strategy

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in community management, having run social presences for a brand

  • 2-3 years experience managing a team of social writers & community managers with a focus on providing timely and clear feedback

  • Experience working with a content studio

  • Ability to understand and maintain voice & tone across multiple handles 

  • Understanding of the marketing, media and digital advertising landscape

  • Preference for a fast-paced and dynamic environment; track record working across complex cross-functional Team 

  • Resourcefulness, attention to detail, and comfort offering solutions and clarity where there is ambiguity

  • Team-first mentality

  • Passion for Twitter and knowledge of how the service works and how marketers use it

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
