What You'll Do

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will lead projects from inception through production and will be responsible for creating and maintaining reports and dashboards that house information on operational performance, policy vulnerabilities, platform threats, and legal compliance. You will use data to provide insight into our policies and workflows, measure and forecast case volumes across several functions and timezones, and make recommendations for product and process improvements. You will work cross-functionally with different T&S teams to ensure their reporting and analytics needs are met. 

You will:

• Create effective data visualizations, reports, and analytical solutions that provide T&S partners access to critical metrics and insights

• Design, develop, test and launch new dashboards and reporting solutions into production

• Collaborate with teams across Trust & Safety and external partners to understand how the business operates and recommend strategies to drive continuous improvement using data-driven insights

• Evaluate the existing dashboards and provide recommendations for improvement

• Assist with Operations Management by providing accurate volume forecasts and staffing models for backlog management

• Help project managers & operational teams establish benchmarks, inputs and critical metrics for new programs

• Partner with the platform data team to design and build new state-of-the-art data warehouse and business intelligence features, reports, and dashboards 

• Conduct deep dives & analytical investigations into inconsistent trends in data

• Provide guidance and develop data standards, reporting, and coding best practices

• Automate and streamline data analysis and reporting where feasible

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or local equivalent required. Preferred degree in engineering, computer science, business, statistics, mathematics or data analytics (or related field)

• Extensive experience in Visualization tools like Tableau, Looker or similar

• Familiarity with Data Modeling in Looker using LookML

• Familiarity with Google Big Query and Data Studio

• Extensive SQL experience for data extraction, manipulation, and analyses; including stored procedures, complex joins, creation of views, and database scripting

• Experience manipulating data sets using Python or R and handling large scale unstructured data

• 4+ years of data analysis/reporting, visualization, and dashboard creation

• Acute attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining analytic approaches to non-technical audiences

• Strong project management abilities, with a proven track record of being able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously to successful completion

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment

Nice to have: 

• Familiarity and experience with Machine Learning and Data Mining

• Good understanding of statistical concepts and experience with business applications of statistical methods (e.g., hypothesis testing, regressions, sampling) & Predictive analytics
