Who You Are:

We are looking for a Sr. Manager to lead our Global Programs, Events, and Early Career Recruiting teams. This is an exciting new role that we created in an effort to reinvent and refocus the team. This role will be responsible for programs and events for university students and recent graduates, as well as early career talent through executive level talent. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for three important Twitter recruiting verticals; global programs that support and augment the talent acquisition and talent branding efforts of the broader Talent Acquisition team; global events that identify a healthy pipeline of talent for all roles and all functions at Twitter; and early career and new grad recruiting via traditional and non-traditional channels. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Technical, Programs, Events and Early Career Recruiting, and is expected to transform how Twitter thinks about recruiting via programs and events and early career and new grad talent while leading change in recruiting across the tech industry. 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Create the vision and robust strategy that will drive results and impact each of the three recruiting verticals.

  • Deepen external relationships with relevant organizations and universities, and leverage industry knowledge to create attraction strategies for technical and non-technical talent.

  • Build a high performing organization that focuses on the programs, events, and early career recruiting strategy for Twitter’s current talent needs while agilely preparing for future talent needs and how we work.

  • Lead, inspire, and develop the capabilities of the team’s leaders and individual contributors to bring a growth mindset to change how we recruit early career to executive talent from various channels including programs and events. 

  • Create a collaborative team culture to drive productivity and development.

  • Consistently review hiring practices, policies and recruitment guidelines to ensure they are meeting business needs and are competitive and creative; appropriately assessing successes, risks, and challenges.

  • Understand the company’s business objectives/goals and the evolving external landscape. You will use this to create a strategy that identifies, attracts, and recruits early career to executive talent through traditional and non-traditional programs and events.

  • Bring to life the Twitter employment brand by ensuring Twitter is represented with the right external partnerships at the local, regional, and global levels including universities, consortiums, professional associations, diversity groups, and tech companies. 

  • Proactively collaborate with internal partners (including, but not limited to TA, HRBPs, Comp, Finance, I&D, Public Policy, and the business) to ensure recruiting efforts are helping Twitter achieve their hiring goals and that initiatives are on par with brand messaging and needs.

  • Build and lead the reporting of key performance recruiting metrics and identify trends to ensure focus on high impact, high ROI in each of these 3 verticals.

  • You have created global strategies for successful recruiting initiatives.

  • You are a builder, morphing concepts into industry recognized best in class recruiting experiences for talent all all levels and all functions.

  • You are a recruiting SME with vast recruiting experiences that span regions, functions, and candidate skill level for both technical and non-technical pillars of the organization.

  • You have the ability to work collaboratively across all levels internally and externally and exhibit strong leadership, networking, and influencing skills.

  • You are a strong communicator able to adapt written and verbal communication for internal and external audiences at all levels.

  • You demonstrate the capability of superior performance while being a team leader and member, able to handle ambiguity with ease, and able to hunt down answers and drive solutions autonomously.

  • You have strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects across various client groups.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years work experience in early career recruiting, business aligned experienced hire recruiting, talent development, or diversity recruiting.

  • 5+ years work experience building, coaching, and leading high performing global recruiting teams at scale including previous management of other managers/leaders.

  • Experience providing efficient and effective enterprise wide recruitment strategies to meet business needs as well as customized recruiting strategies when needed.

  • Consistent track record of building successful recruiting programs and events with measurable impact.

  • Deep subject matter expertise on emerging trends and technologies in the global recruiting space.

  • Demonstrated experience of successfully collaborating across organization boundaries in a highly matrixed environment to drive recruitment solutions across a wide variety of needs.
