Job Description

Twitter is seeking an experienced product manager to lead the evolution of the front-end developer experience delivered through the developer.twitter.com website. This includes helping self-serve developers of all types get started with and ultimately find success with the public Twitter API and developer platform.

The purpose of Twitter is to serve the public conversation, and our mission with the public Twitter API is to unlock developer creativity & innovation to serve the public conversation. The Twitter API has been used by millions of developers to build integrations with Twitter, from “hello world” apps in classroom settings to the most-used consumer and business products in the world. The developer experience encompasses how developers discover, get started, grow, and achieve their goals with the Twitter API.

This role will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the needs and challenges facing the diverse set of developers who build on the Twitter developer platform today. You'll work with our engineering, design, research, marketing, developer relations, policy, and customer success teams to ensure we have a cogent developer experience throughout the customer journey that helps developers achieve their goals using the Twitter API. You will be a major contributor to our developer experience strategy and roadmap, focused specifically on self-serve customer success. You will lead our developer portal engineering team to build the self-serve user experience and tools that live at the core of this developer experience.

Our developer platform product team is ten strong with two other product managers also focused on developer experience (including the hiring manager). Our larger developer platform product development team is predominantly located in the San Francisco and Boulder, CO areas; our business teams that you’ll work with also have significant presence in New York and London.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a product management role delivering software products that solve customer problems

  • Demonstrated successes shipping web products to thousands of customers

  • Experience creating compelling product visions and strategies and adeptness at communicating them in both written and verbal mediums

  • Experience implementing the foundations for an experiment-driven culture and iterating through experimentation

  • Familiar with developers as a customer
