Who are we?

 

TweetDeck is a team of web engineers, fullstack and backend engineers who are closely collaborating with the Payments team and the Twitter.com team.

 

Our team is made up of people from all over the world. We work from London, San Francisco, Boston and New York, and we collaborate across these time zones in an efficient way. Our members come from all sorts of different backgrounds and cultures. These are folks who have studied Anthropology, Economics and Design. Our teammates are from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, the United States and the UK. Diversity is at the core of our team culture!

A successful Engineering Manager will:

  • Coach, support and develop the growth of individuals in the engineering team

  • Partner with your PMs and technical leads to initiate cross-functional collaborations with development teams throughout Twitter and capture feedback and requirements.

  • Seek different perspectives to drive bottom-up innovation and create alignment from all technical partners inside and outside the team

  • Ensure the team fully understands the goals and objectives of Twitter as a company and how their work fits in the bigger picture.

Qualifications

  • You have a B.Sc or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

  • You have a background in building UI, platforms, and services.

  • You have previously managed a team of 6+ individual contributors either as a manager or a team-lead.

  • You have a passion for simplicity

  • You use and love Twitter as well as care about our mission

  • You are awesome, hardworking, and great to work with!
