Job Description

The Selling Systems department plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment of technology solutions with business processes within the organization, contributing to the overall success of an organization.

The Salesforce/Gainsight Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the Salesforce platform, as well as integrating Gainsight for effective customer success management. The Salesforce/Gainsight Developer will be instrumental in leveraging technology to enhance customer success initiatives and streamline business processes. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and effective communication to deliver solutions that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to meet business requirements.
  • Gainsight Integration: Integrate Gainsight with Salesforce and other systems to ensure seamless data flow and synchronization.
  • Apex and Visualforce: Write efficient, scalable, and well-documented Apex code and Visualforce pages to extend Salesforce functionality.
  • Gainsight Rule Configuration: Configure and maintain Gainsight rules and playbooks to automate customer success processes and workflows.
  • Customization: Customize Gainsight components and objects as needed to align with the organization's customer success strategy.
  • API Integration: Develop and implement REST and SOAP APIs to enable data exchange between Salesforce, Gainsight, and other external systems.
  • Data Migration: Perform data migrations and transformations as required during Salesforce and Gainsight implementations or updates.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, to understand their technical requirements and implement solutions.
  • Code Review: Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices, code quality, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve technical issues, system errors, and integration discrepancies.
  • Documentation: Document technical specifications, system configurations, and code changes. Create and maintain documentation for future reference and knowledge transfer.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about Salesforce and Gainsight updates, releases, and industry trends. Pursue relevant certifications to enhance skills and expertise.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer and Gainsight Developer.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
  • Experience with Gainsight rule configuration and playbooks.
  • Proficiency in integrating Salesforce with other applications using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Knowledge of best practices for data modeling and system integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Information

The expected annual base salary range for this position is: $92,000/year to $154,000/year. This position is bonus eligible / commission-based.
As a Remote-First company, actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if extended, and is determined by work location and a range of other relevant factors, including but not limited to: experience, skills, degrees, licensures, certifications, and other job-related factors. Internal equity, market and organizational factors are also considered.
