Job Description

12-month FTC position.

The Director, Financial Operations role is for a strategic, experienced leader to oversee Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable and other related activities, globally. 

Reporting into the Assistant Controller, the successful candidate will become part of a fast-growing business upon which they will be expected to exercise their influence and leadership in achieving consistency and compliance across our key business processes as well as identifying and putting into action any opportunities for improvement.

This role will suit a candidate who is experienced partnering with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation, has experience driving organisational change and most importantly is willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

This is a Global leadership position within a fast-growing, dynamic business and as such there will be an expectation that the individual appointed will have a genuine focus on continuous improvement and the gravitas to drive improvements across the Company’s key business processes. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of Accounts Receivable function including, billings,  application of cash to open receivables, reconciliation of billed A/R, customer collections, and optimising cash flow
  • Oversee all aspects of the PTP function including re-implementation of PO process, reviewing weekly AP runs, creating KPIs for management. 
  • Communicate effectively with staff as well as the various departments that play a role in the Billing and A/R functions.
  • Oversee the collections team, ensuring regular leadership reporting of aged receivables
  • You will work with the team to lead an ambitious finance systems and process transformation programme through 2024. Your previous experience in systems/process design will empower you to lead and inspire innovation on the project, managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will lead the adoption of new/improved business processes flows, managing the transition from the existing processes, communication to stakeholders and adherence with policy;
    • Procure to Pay (P2P)
    • Order to Cash (O2C)
    • Payroll
  • Assist with audit requests and special projects as assigned
  • Communicate and work alongside key stakeholders including FP&A
  • Be the key senior contact for the internal and external auditors to ensure real time collective support on approach to given matters
  • Develop and maintain the performance of the team directly and indirectly through Team Leaders, including recruiting, coaching, performance management and developing the team as is needed
  • Perform ad-hoc management related requests and analysis

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with full cycle accounts receivable including both billings and collections
  • 5+ years of experience managing staff and proven effectiveness
  • 5+ years working with multiple entities and different  foreign exchange rates
  • Experience of having ownership/oversight of ERP subledger activities, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
  • Strong effective communication skills at all levels of the business, including c-suite
  • Tech savvy with proven experience of working in NetSuite
  • Experience of working for a SAAS Company preferred 
  • Strong solution-oriented leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence management and contributors at all levels of the organization and across functions
  • Experience of working within a complex US corporate structure highly advantageous
