Job Description

The Selling Systems department plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment of technology solutions with business processes within the organization, contributing to the overall success of an organization. 

The Sales Systems Business Analyst serves as a liaison between sales teams and technology teams, contributing to the effectiveness and success of sales initiatives. The role requires a combination of business acumen, analytical skills, and effective communication to drive the implementation of technology solutions that support sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Outputs

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for system enhancements, integrations, and new initiatives.
  • Process Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • System Design: Work closely with development teams to design and document solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret data to provide insights into business performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Plan, coordinate, and execute UAT activities, working with end-users to validate that system enhancements meet specified requirements.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user guides.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with technical teams to facilitate the integration of systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Change Management: Support change management efforts by assisting in the development of training materials and providing training to end-users as needed.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues related to system functionality, working with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and project managers to ensure a shared understanding of project goals and timelines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in sales systems. Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sales processes and systems.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Systems Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of business process modeling and improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with system integration and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
