Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Director, Global Marketing to join us in our mission to ensure the integrity of global education and meaningfully improve learning outcomes. Turnitin is in the midst of an exciting expansion. We are extending our commitment to academic integrity beyond plagiarism detection by delivering transformational assessment tools that help educators improve learning outcomes for students. 

To reach even more educators and administrators around the globe, we are seeking a strategic and collaborative global marketing leader who will lead the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives for our education technology company on a global scale. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong track record in managing global teams, a deep understanding of the industry landscape, and the ability to drive results that align with our brand and business objectives. 

Reporting to the VP Global Marketing, this role will lead a global team of marketers.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in marketing roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity within the education technology or edTech-related industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful global marketing strategies from both a demand gen and customer lifecycle marketing perspective.
  • Collaborative leadership style and hands-on approach to helping the team win.
  • Experience inspiring and managing a team of globally diverse marketing professionals.
  • In-depth understanding of the education technology landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Strong digital marketing expertise, including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • A highly professional leader and influencer who builds relationships up, down, and across an organization easily.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experienced at presenting to C-level executives.

Must be able to regularly flex schedule across global time zones to further One Team collaboration and execute within a global function.
