Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director, Business Process Transformation to drive and oversee our organization's transformation initiatives. As the Director, Business Process Transformation, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to optimize business processes, enhance operational efficiency, and drive organizational scale and growth. Reporting to the Vice President, Revenue Operations, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing large-scale transformation initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, improve processes, and optimize business performance. You will carry hands-on responsibility, working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management to identify areas for improvement, implement transformative strategies, and ensure successful outcomes. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and visionary leader with a strong background in business transformation, change management, and process improvement. As Business Transformation serves as a net-new organization, the role will initially serve as an individual contributor, with matrix responsibility for leading cross-functional teams on change initiatives. Over time, the Director, Business Process Transformation will have the opportunity to build and lead a team.

Your expertise in change management, project management, and business analysis will be instrumental in successfully guiding our organization through transformative initiatives.

You will apply process engineering and business innovation knowledge and capabilities across the enterprise to enhance effectiveness and sustain transformational impact. You will foster and lead deep business collaboration to drive targeted and enduring change across the enterprise. You will work with sponsor leaders to reimagine and solve complex problems and guide sponsored improvements to strategies, processes, technologies, workflow automation, and organizational systems.

In addition to leading a variety of business reengineering activities, you will also act as a change agent to ensure solutions are implemented and projected business results are achieved. This individual must have strong leadership, problem solving and communication competencies.

Key Responsibilities

Business Process Transformation Strategy

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business process transformation strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify areas of improvement, assess risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, process optimization, and overall business performance.
  • Serve as a thought leader in end-to-end enterprise transformation with strong emphasis on Lead-to-Cash, understanding go-to-market strategies, proactively and systematically bringing ideas for new technology, processes or systems to accelerate time to value.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business transformation and apply them to enhance the organization's competitive advantage.
  • Provide organizational leadership in the application of process improvement tools, methods, and frameworks in the enterprise transformation space.
  • Identify, establish, and quantify measurable business benefits (financial/non-financial) achieved as a result of services provided including business/technical transformation, customer centricity, operational excellence, organizational change management, and strategic planning.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the organization. 
  • Identify and collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop and implement streamlined and scalable solutions that drive operational excellence, streamline business processes and maximize productivity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leaders, department heads, and process owners, to gain support and alignment for transformation initiatives.

Project Management

  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify process inefficiencies and gaps & improvement opportunities, develop business cases, and make data-driven recommendations for transformative changes.  
  • Document business workflow and journey maps, connecting business processes across enterprise functions to clarify business and technical capability needs and highlight holistic requirements, key interdependencies along with upstream and downstream impacts.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the transformation projects, including project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and timeline management.
  • Monitor and track project progress, measure success metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended course corrections.
  • Coach / lead large scale workshops including all levels (i.e., individual contributor to Executive leadership) of employees through strategic, organization design, technology prioritization decisions, root cause analysis, and process mapping.

Change Management & Communications

  • Identify training needs, design and deliver training programs, workshops, and resources to build organizational capabilities and enable successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Drive change management and communications efforts by developing and executing effective communication plans, training programs, and stakeholder engagement strategies to ensure smooth transitions and acceptance of new initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of professionals involved in the business transformation process. 
  • Identify, establish, and quantify measurable business benefits (financial/non-financial) achieved as a result of services provided including business/technical transformation, customer centricity, operational excellence, organizational change management, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills

  • 8+ years experience working to deliver transformational change initiatives and a proven track record in implementing large scale, global transformation.
  • 3-5+ years team leadership experience (direct and matrixed).
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and system design architecture as it impacts business processes and interdependencies on an enterprise level.
  • Proven ability to successfully operate in a highly matrixed organizational system where partnership and influence are key drivers of success.
  • Strong project management and decision-making skills, with a track record of working with business process owners and other stakeholders to determine and influence the best process and technology solutions for complex business issues, managing and delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.  
  • Strong proficiency with project management tools, process mapping methodologies, and data analysis tools.
  • Hands on expertise in process modeling, process documentation/visualization, journey maps and other core process related capabilities.
  • Ability to synthesize inputs, identify critical insights, and develop compelling recommendations.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and an ability to work cooperatively and forge relationships across multiple functional organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management, including stakeholder analysis, communication planning, training, and organizational readiness assessment.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze complex business challenges, develop innovative solutions, and drive impactful change.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of motivating high-performing teams.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and develop practical solutions.
  • Prior experience with a high-volume, transactional global SAAS business with multiple product categories.
  • Prior experience related to digital transformation, digital marketing, CRM, sales automation.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to business transformation.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of business process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or similar frameworks.
  • Certification in Project Management and/or Lean Agile Practices (project and program management fundamentals) preferred.
  • Certifications in change management, or related fields preferred.

  • Client-facing business consulting experience.

Additional Information

The expected annual base salary range for this position is: $123,471/year to $205,785/year. This position is bonus eligible / commission-based.
As a Remote-First company, actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if extended, and is determined by work location and a range of other relevant factors, including but not limited to: experience, skills, degrees, licensures, certifications, and other job-related factors. Internal equity, market and organizational factors are also considered.
