Turnitin is seeking a highly motivated Senior Network Engineer with experience managing enterprise and data center network infrastructures. This role will be part of the Infrastructure Engineering team overseeing the global Turnitin network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise and data center network technologies, automation tools, and a background in managing secure network solutions. 

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility to ensure operational excellence of on-premises and cloud infrastructure services
• Collaborate with infrastructure architects to build solutions supporting on-premises and cloud infrastructure services
• Work closely with operations and engineering teams to gather requirements, analyze, and propose infrastructure solutions
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, policies, procedures, and best practices
• Take lead on individual and team projects, ensuring all processes, procedures, and timelines are met
• Troubleshoot and remediate any events impacting the operation and availability of the global network infrastructure
• Participate in 24x7 on-call

• A minimum of 7 years Network Engineering experience
• A minimum of 5 years Firewall security experience
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent experience
• Advanced understanding of network hardware, software, protocols, and technologies
• Experience with enterprise wireless network solutions and deployments
• Hands-on experience with data center networking solutions including VXLAN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, QoS
• Hands-on experience with SSL and IPsec VPNs including DMVPN
• Familiarity with network monitoring, management, and troubleshooting tools
• Ability to work individually, as well as in a dynamic team environment
• Unrelenting self-motivation, initiative, and ability to learn
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, And Experience:

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments
• Familiarity with DevOps practices
