Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Marketing Director, EMEA, the Events Specialist is responsible for developing and executing the EMEA events programme (both offline and online) to achieve growth objectives for both new and existing businesses.

The role will secondarily include a mix of marketing responsibilities, working with a wider team of marketing and sales colleagues to develop and execute activity-based plans for territories in the EMEA region to support the promotion and drive performance of the events strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the EMEA events strategy, aligned to the EMEA marketing strategy and subsequent European and Menat territory plans, objectives, and KPIs, for both new and existing customers.
  • Develop a calendar of hosted in-person and online events to support the Sales organization (Pre, New and Post) in exceeding budgeted revenue targets while providing a first-class service that meets and exceeds the expectations of colleagues and customers.
  • Working with the Marketing Managers and Sales team to recommend and advise on relevant product and thought leadership content for all in-person and online events.
  • Work with a wider team of marketing and sales colleagues to develop activity-based marketing and relevant promotional plans for events hosted within territories/markets in the EMEA region, to drive registrations and promote any relevant content post-event.
  • To identify new attended event opportunities throughout the region and keep the sales team abreast of the latest trends, news, and events relevant to their territory.
  • Provide support to EMEA Certified Partners to ensure best-in-class brand delivery and representation at their events. programme with best practice sharing and toolkits.
  • Develop direct and indirect sales enablement around hosting events and webinars.
  • Responsible for the safe and compliant handling of all event leads captured and transferred to SFDC or SDR.
  • Responsible for the reporting and analysis of performance and reviews of all in-person and online events. Collate and cascade to the project team and key stakeholders all learnings and feedback with recommendations to optimize future projects and/or events.
  • Consistently track and report progress on assigned projects.
  • To manage all supplier negotiations and contracts in regard to all event sponsorships, marketing material, stand builds, and collateral.
  • To manage the events budget, providing monthly updates to the Regional Marketing Director on expenses and forecasted costs for the year, ensuring the events programme is delivered on budget.
  • Continually seek new and creative ways of efficiently maximizing appropriate and relevant event content delivery.
  • Recommend programs, tools, and new concepts for adoption where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience 
  • English, as well as either Italian or French is essential
  • 5+ years’ experience in event marketing
  • Proven experience planning events that generate leads
  • Experience in using CRM and marketing animation tools in the context of planning and executing events 
  • A proven track record of planning a programme of multiple events, showing innovation and measurable success
  • Affinity and experience with another marketing specialism (e.g. Email, Digital Communications)
  • Excellent knowledge of marketing terms and concepts, keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines. Proven ability to execute plans to the utmost professional standard
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Ability to thrive as a self-starter and work in a team setting
  • Previous experience successfully managing and maintaining vendor relationships
  • Willing and able to travel 25% of the time
