Job Description
As an IT Vendor Management Analyst you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the development of IT vendor management policies, processes, and workflows to elevate Turnitin's IT vendor management capabilities. You will perform financial spend and qualitative analysis of the IT vendor portfolio, and lead efforts to rationalize and consolidate vendor contracts and existing solutions where possible. You will be responsible for creating and managing a catalog of IT vendor contracts and implement reporting for vendor performance and forecasts for vendor spend and contract expirations. You will engage in efforts to improve Turnitin's Hardware/Software Asset and SaaS management capabilities, focusing on vendor spend, licensing management, purchasing, renewals, and creating methods for internal showback and/or chargeback of IT costs. You will serve as point person to coordinate activities with Legal, Sourcing, Procurement, Finance and IT to conduct contract due diligence for new IT contracts so you will bring a collaborative approach to your work. - Assist Leadership in directing and optimizing IT vendor management strategy and initiatives
- Lead and/or contribute to the development of IT vendor management policies, risk registers, processes, and workflows
- Perform financial spend and qualitative analysis of the IT vendor portfolio, lead efforts to rationalize and consolidate vendors and solutions where possible with a focus on cost optimization while ensuring minimal impact to stakeholders
- Contribute to reporting on IT vendor contracts, performance, risk, and relationships to key stakeholders and vendors
- Serve as point person to coordinate activities with Legal, Sourcing, Procurement, Finance and IT to conduct contract due diligence; and to set up and maintain an asset management program that address: hardware refresh schedules, software license reviews, purchasing, cataloging, upgrades, renewals, harvesting and retiring
- Facilitate the maintenance of agreements with IT vendors, and ensure that they are current/up to date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations, including software license compliance
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience supporting vendor management, contracts, and procurement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
- Committed to continuous learning and sharing of that learning
- Strong technical foundation with demonstrated business, data, and financial analysis skills
- Ability to translate and communicate complex concepts in relatable terms
- Capable of achieving conflict resolution of complex and financially significant contracts achieving successful outcome while building and preserving relationships
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and negotiating complex technology contracts
- Experience leading tool rationalization efforts; working across multiple teams to gain consensus and alignment on tool usage and selection
- Experience with IT Asset (Hardware/Software) Management lifecycle and processes
- Strong working knowledge of procurement practices
- Experience interfacing effectively with diverse and senior stakeholder groups (Finance, Legal, IT, Security)
