Job Description
Overview
We are looking to hire for a specialist role in the Tax team, which is a part of the broader
Accounting function. Our team plans to take control of the overall Corporate and Indirect tax
compliances for all of the legal entities for Turnitin group, plus this team would be working
closely with the Legal team and IMO as a subject matter expert for various projects, and the
regional sales support teams for resolving the tax related queries specific to their regions
(excluding Payroll).
Responsibilities:
- Handle both direct and indirect tax reconciliations for the group entities.
- Work closely with the Accounting team for tax provisioning and to ensure correct
recording of JEs for tax payments.
- Preparation of tax related documents and calculations, and support the tax team in
driving the compliances in-house.
- Support the Accounting team in preparation of reports and workings for various filings
on a timely basis.
- Coordinate and collate the necessary information for tax compliances of respective
group entities.
- Ensure proper maintenance of working paper and audit trails.
- Assistance with other tax related projects.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Having experience of working with the tax team on the Indirect and Corporate tax filings
- Having a good understanding of accounting principles
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Netsuite or any other ERP
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
