Job Description

The corporate communications manager is a key member of the corporate marketing team, supporting and executing external communications, brand-level PR and thought leadership initiatives. They will collaborate with cross-functional team members as well as our communications/PR agencies to ensure message continuity and promote thought leadership resources across global channels.

The corporate communications manager works closely with the director of corporate communications as well as corporate marketing and company leadership to identify, secure and execute public appearances, key events and awards, as well as editorial opportunities for speakers bureau participants and key spokespeople across the company.

The corporate communications manager…

  • is a self-starter who easily develops strong relationships across the company to support key communications initiatives and maintains a steady drumbeat of proactive outreach with press as well as external contributors. 

  • takes an adaptive communications approach based on data and outcomes from past projects. All writing and positioning pieces are distribution-ready and include a metrics-based plan for measuring success. 

  • makes strong recommendations and offers solutions that demonstrate the ability to handle a variety of communications scenarios. 

  • proposes and leads new and productive ways to leverage company activities and events to engage with media. 

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Organized self-starter with attention to detail

  • Strategic thinker with ability to present a cohesive and consistent brand message

  • Highly skilled at building relationships with target media outlets and journalists

  • Ability to work with company leaders and communications partners/agencies 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field

  • 5 years of related work experience
