Job Description

As part of the Global Accounts Receivable Team, the Billing Specialist role (US Remote) will deliver timely and accurate billing of clients and customers to ensure revenues are able to be realized. They will liaise with internal departments to ensure appropriate and timely billing, understand the nuances and complexities of various billing scenarios, and be a subject matter expert on these billing scenarios. The role will have direct communication with external customers along with various internal departments.
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Accurate order processing and high volume billing which includes the review of sales orders, generating invoices in multiple subsidiaries & currencies, taxes & tax exemptions. 
  • Obtaining, reviewing validity, and entering of incoming tax exemption certificates
  • Monitoring Jira ticketing system to ensure timely response to all assigned internal and external customer inquiries
  • Query/dispute resolution for billing inquiries.
  • Organizing and processing of Credit Memos, Chargebacks and refunds.
  • Working with the Orders Team for sales order corrections, credit memos and prepayments.
  • Working with various inter-departmental support teams (Collections, Cash Application, Revenue and Orders) to correct any billing errors/issues.
  • Understand how the billing ties into the larger customer sales relationship/pipeline.  Understand the billing schedules and revenue commitments connected to the billing(s).
  • Work closely with global Sales and Sales Support teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
  • Flexibility around month-end and peak season.

Qualifications

Essential

  • MUST have 2 years minimum Account Billing experience
  • MUST have Domestic (US) billing experience and understand standard US tax processes
  • MUST have 1+ years NetSuite experience
  • MUST either have 1+ years Salesforce experience, or similar CRM, and understand how the CRM interacts with the ERP (NetSuite).
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheet user
  • Resolving billing queries and managing daily high volume billing

Non-Essential (Nice to Have)

  • International experience to billing, multi-currencies, and int'l tax processes
  • Familiarity with systemic changes and adaptation to those changes and improvements
