Job Description

This role is responsible for enabling the Tii product organization to better understand product-specific and portfolio-level performance. As a BIA, you will analyze complex business problems and issues using data from both internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. You will construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic / tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. You will own operational performance tracking, management of financial/operational metrics to monitor performance against our goals, and the execution of ad-hoc analyses to inform strategic decisions around product strategy and roadmaps. You’ll improve the digital visualization of our actual performance statistics in both real-time statistical reporting/analysis and also potential/forecasting. In addition, you’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders to conduct gap analyses of existing data sources and quality and, in partnership with product management and engineering, craft a plan to ensure instrumentation and collection of all data necessary to enable the product organization to define, measure and quantify its goals.

  • Identify, collect and analyze meaningful sources of insight into product performance (e.g., product usage, customer support and sales data). When available data sources are insufficient, create and execute a plan to improve or supplement them.
  • Create and execute on specs for reports and analysis based on business needs (e.g., regular KPI reporting) and required or available data elements
  • Create and support ongoing data analysis and ad hoc data requests for a variety of business purposes, producing datasets and reports and analyzing data using system reporting tools
  • As needed, combine data from various internal and external sources in order to make necessary analysis and reporting possible
  • Lead technical implementation of new data analysis and visualization tools, establishing new processes and automation as well as improving existing processes
  • Ability to collect business requirements for analytics and metrics and implement using reports on Product Analytics platforms
  • Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel-based data analysis & modeling
  • Fluency in data warehousing set-up, management
  • Ability to see the big picture and continue driving toward the critical question(s) at hand via a robust analytical approach
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision
  • Ability to break down complex and ambiguous questions with a mix of analytical rigor and input from internal and external data sources 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at once
  • Bias towards action, operating with a high degree of autonomy and ownership

Qualifications

Essential

  • 3-5 years of experience with:
  • Data Analysis using BI tools such as Tableau or QuickSight
  • Creation and management of data warehouses
  • Advanced SQL or database analysis skills. Strong statistical foundations.
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of CRM software and data
  • BA or equivalent in finance, business, computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering or other technical or quantitative field
