Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Ensures that people are paid in an accurate and timely way
  • Facilitates the timely and accurate payment of our Employees in line with payroll deadlines across a portfolio of jurisdictions 
  • Builds a strong and effective partnership with the People team members relevant for your portfolio, meeting regularly to discuss operational issues of concern, proactively driving continuous improvement
  • Manages starters leavers and changes and all variable payments efficiently ensuring that there is adequate time for internal review and sign off before payroll close
  • Collaborates closely with the People team to ensure the accurate and timely capture of any special or unusual variable payments including but not limited to commissions, spot bonuses, retention payment, LTIPs, bonuses, reimbursements and stipends.
  • Takes special care and attention to terminations, scanning offboarding notices to ensure that overpayments are minimised and any overpayments are quickly managed and rectified
  • Ensures external payroll processing partners are equipped with everything necessary to deliver each payroll run
  • Works with state/national tax authorities to comply with all reporting requirements, certification requirements and returns in a timely and efficient manner
  • Works with Accounting, FP&A and People Team to capture regular bonuses, commissions and pay reviews
  • Adheres to published timetables and acts as a gatekeeper for internal partners on items which fall outside timetable, actively assisting with deadline education and compliance 
  • Document payroll processes and procedures with the ability to suggest best practices and opportunities
     

Qualifications

  • 3 years payroll processing experience, preferably in a large multinational company
  • Proven experience of producing high level accurate reporting
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, including gross-to-net calculation, regional and local pay practices, regulations, and tax regulations
  • Handle sensitive data with integrity, confidentiality, and the utmost discretion
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Operational knowledge of multi-company payrolls\
  • Excellent communication and ability to work on payroll initiatives
  • Willing to work in a fast growing, challenging environment
  • Knowledge of different payroll related software like Workday/Bamboo HR/ADP Streamline/ADP Celergo
