Job Description
ExamSoft (a Turnitin company) is seeking a Strategic Account Executive, Western U.S. (Education Vertical) who is a driven and self-motivated rock star to source, qualify and close potential customer prospects throughout designated territory particularly focused in United States and select international territories. This person will report to the VP Global Sales and will have a proven track record of success in closing complex sales.
The Strategic Account Executive will be essential to building and developing prospect relations and will focus primarily on developing enterprise level relationships in academic institutions and the professional certification marketplace within designated territories and verticals.
Responsibilities
- Show “Will to Win” by regularly meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales goals
- Own and architect new business pipeline strategy for assigned territory, with focus on penetrating new markets, geographies, industries, etc.
- Conduct research and ongoing strategic sales outreach to add qualified pipeline opportunities
- Own pipeline and client outreach strategy, partnering with Inside Sales Representative to set meetings
- Participate in network building opportunities within territory including, but not limited to, conferences, trade shows, on-site campus visits, group presentations and industry functions, when travel is safe and permitted
- Partner with Inside Sales, Director of Client Solutions, Marketing, Implementation and Operations to deliver on sales goals
- Navigate educational institutions to understand stakeholder needs, roles and institutional buying processes
- Use Consultative Selling Skills to understand unique needs of institutional stakeholders and articulate tailored value of ExamSoft solutions
- Seek continuous learning opportunities to be a product, assessment and industry expert
- Present customized demonstrations of ExamSoft product offerings to client prospects
- Leverage Salesforce as a tool to prioritize opportunities, deliver excellent new client experiences and deliver quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Provide accurate forecast and sales activity data by documenting sales activity within company CRM
- Consistently drive territory growth by adding net new clients and also new programs within existing client base
- Regularly travel throughout assigned regions, when travel is safe and permitted
- Identify and report trends to Product Owners and Executive team to develop ExamSoft products and roadmap
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related study or equivalent work experience
- 4-10 years of previous software sales, SaaS, and/or enterprise sales experience
- Experience selling into educational, certification/licensing, academic corporate or government markets with multiple buyers
- Experience with consultative selling and/or navigating complex, strategic sales with multiple levels of decision makers
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong intellectual capabilities, self-direction and drive to close sales
- Strong persuasive skills and technical aptitude
- Desire to grow and advance professionally
