Job Description
In this role you will manage a portfolio of strategic customers in the Higher Education sector. Your objective is to manage the relationship with the customer to help them achieve maximum value from our services, ensuring customer success and satisfaction as required, resolving issues and problems and driving for proactive positive outcomes. You will nurture and grow the width and depth of the relationship, branching out to different departments and different contacts inside the institution. You will also be responsible for expanding Turnitin’s revenue through expansion of existing, as well as introduction of new cutting-edge products and services.
Responsibilities
- Manage contract renewals and new business growth within existing HE accounts.
- Build, and execute, proactive account plans in order to:
- Identify opportunities for your customers to expand and increase the value they obtain from our services and define actions to utilise these opportunities.
- Identify risks for your customers that could jeopardise the value they obtain from our services and define actions to mitigate these risks.
- Be creative and proactive in ways to communicate to your customers to make sure your portfolio is constantly positively informed of the capabilities Turnitin can offer.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across all internal teams
- Document customer needs, goals and feedback, and share with sales leadership
- Ensure that accurate monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts are provided to your manager
- Understand and follow key educational trends and legislation in territory and use this knowledge to identify opportunities for yourself and the wider team
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree required
- Strong experience in an account/relationship management or similar role
- Ability to strategically expand new opportunities within existing accounts, consultative selling skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Technical aptitude and ability to learn software programs quickly
- Proven ability to work effectively with a team
- Self-starter and motivated passionate personality that thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of the educational technology industry a bonus
