Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic marketing communications professional with Education sector experience in India and the wider South Asia region. The ideal candidate thrives on building excellent partnerships with Sales to develop and implement go-to-market strategies, drive revenue goals and brand awareness.

You will be working on the marketing strategy and plan, and will be responsible for the design, implementation and execution of territory-specific marketing, PR and thought leadership activities and campaigns. You will have superior communications and content writing skills and have a high attention to detail. You will be a partner with sales leadership and work closely with them to drive lead generation/activation and build meaningful new business opportunities and customer relationships in India and the wider South Asia territory through account-based marketing. This fantastic opportunity would suit an all-rounder who can think strategically and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to get the work done. 

Working in collaboration with local, regional and global teams, you’ll have experience demonstrating ROI on marketing activities and will support the sales organisation (pre, new and post) in exceeding budgeted revenue targets while providing a first-class service that meets and exceeds the expectations of colleagues and customers. As a brand guardian for your territory, you'll need to ensure all marketing communications are on brand, whilst rolling out campaigns and other activity across multiple channels including digital, social and content.

  • Align with business objectives and sales priorities to formulate and implement a marketing strategy and plan that can drive new business, customer and revenue growth to grow company’s business; particularly in Higher Education in collaboration with the Regional Director SA.
  • Following the global and regional guidelines, processes and workflows, combine PR and communications, thought leadership, digital, content and customer advocacy into a cohesive set of programs with an Account-Based Marketing (ABM) approach that will promote the company to prospects while communicating the value of the company to existing customers.
  • Work with local, regional and global teams, customer advocates, internal and external subject matter experts on marketing projects, activities, events and campaigns, to enable sales and partnership opportunities.
  • Create concrete action plans, activity calendars and project plans inline with regional marketing strategies and themes to support local strategic growth plans.
  • Deliver marketing campaigns, organise events, attend events, and localise sales and marketing materials (working with relevant parties to produce new when necessary) to showcase the company at its very best and achieve objectives.
  • Work in collaboration with local sales teams and creative Services team to create highly engaging content and copywriting for our marketing activities including website content, newsletters, email marketing and direct mail campaigns, blogs, social media channels and search advertising.
  • Work with the regional marketing team on the annual regional Summit and sourcing suitable candidates for the regional vidcast and podcast.
  • Develop, implement, track and optimise digital and email marketing campaigns in India and the South Asia region.
  • Create and manage the South Asia-specific webpages within the APAC website structure and guidelines.
  • Track the ROI and utilisation of marketing content, collateral, campaigns and events and effectiveness with global reporting guidelines and continuously improve marketing support to the territory. 
  • Develop and track marketing’s influence and touchpoints on the sales opportunity pipeline through marketing automation and CRM systems, including registrations, lead and opportunity conversions and new business across key markets. Provide reporting to marketing and sales leadership as required.
  • Collaborate with and manage PR/Comms agencies and other vendor partners as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with marketing, communications or other relevant disciplines (required)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a B2B and SaaS technology environment in India and the wider South Asia territory
  • Demonstrable experience developing and executing end-to-end effective lead generation and customer engagement campaigns that drive new business growth with proven results 
  • Understanding of the Education industry across India and the wider South Asia region 
  • Demonstrable experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce; and marketing automation systems such as Pardot and Marketo. 
  • Demonstrable experience using CMS to build and manage websites.
  • Advocate of ABM
  • Excellent presentation, written, and oral skills in English
  • Customer-centric mindset and passion for making an impact on education.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Attention to detail
