For more than 20 years, Turnitin has partnered with educational institutions to promote honesty, consistency, and fairness across all subject areas and assessment types. Our products are used by educational institutions and certification and licensing programs to uphold integrity and increase learning performance, and by students and professionals to do their best, original work.
Turnitin is looking for a designer to help expand and grow the Gradescope assessment platform. You’ll play a key part in shaping not only the Gradescope product, but also the team’s strategy and roadmap. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with people from Engineering, Growth, Product Writing, Research, and more! You’ll take all these perspectives coupled with your unique view to help bring about a product that seems to take on a life of its own.
The Gradescope team is a collaborative group that are passionate about improving assessment in higher education. We care deeply about our users and work proactively to make and keep them happy. We iterate often and wear multiple hats, always striving to deliver new value for our users. We take pride in building reliable, high-quality solutions that are intuitive and that enhance the shared experiences between students, instructors, and administrators.
Gradescope is an online assessment platform that enables instructors to grade everything in one place, including paper-based exams, online homework, and programming projects. We use cutting-edge technology and features like flexible auto graders and AI-assisted answer grouping to make grading faster and more equitable. Gradescope was founded in 2014 at UC-Berkeley and joined Turnitin via an acquisition in October 2018. Gradescope is used to grade over 1 million students’ work per year at hundreds of leading higher-ed institutions, and we’re growing quickly.
