Job Description
Act as a subject matter expert in consultation and collaboration with all customer experience teams, sales, product and corporate marketing, and other relevant teams across the company. The role includes understanding the needs of Turnitin’s global customer base to create best in class pedagogical, professional learning, and thought leadership materials designed to help drive engagement, adoption, and value for all users.
Key Responsibilities and Outputs
- Participate as a senior member of the Teaching and Learning Customer Engagement team, contribute to the development of strategic goals, content and programs that drive effective customer adoption, implementation, satisfaction, and engagement.
Design and implement globally relevant instructional resources, assessment content, professional learning content, and thought leadership assets.
Employ extensive and thorough knowledge of pedagogy, instructional design, assessment design theory, curriculum development, brain/child development, and adult learning theory to analyze and evaluate the needs of a global user base and develop strategic content to meet these diverse needs.
Actively collaborate with product teams, marketing teams, Professional and Education Services teams to help define and develop packaged instructional resources to support effective implementation of products (to meet customer objectives)
Establish cross-functional partnerships with Turnitin’s functions (including Product Management, Product Support, Training, User Research, Engineering, and Marketing) to share feedback from customer engagements and product usage to drive an improved customer experience with using our products and engaging with us.
Collaborate with PES and Support to identify instructional pain points and develop appropriate resources as solutions
Act as an evangelist for the customer internally and share customer use cases, workflows and challenges to drive enhancements on the product roadmap
Work closely with internal teams to partner on the content strategy for all user types to focus on product, pedagogy, and best practices.
Support and contribute to Turnitin efforts in thought leadership across the industry through academic and blog writing, conference presentations, and other mediums of professional development and training.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree or Advanced Professional Certification in Education or a related educational field
5+ years teaching experience or related field such as educational technology or curriculum/professional learning development preferred
3+ years curriculum and/or assessment development experience
Knowledge of instructional design models and content design to achieve pedagogical and instructional goals
Wide-ranging experience and a specialized understanding of the needs and concerns of educators and students
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize well in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
Analytical and creative problem solving skills, questioning and feedback skills.
- Passion for consulting and learning. You are a fast learner and you enjoy learning new concepts and technology and determining how to best implement.
