Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Risk Manager to lead and coordinate risk management activities across projects and programmes of moderate size and complexity. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective risk management frameworks, ensuring project risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated in alignment with project objectives and organizational standards.

This role requires strong technical expertise in qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, risk reporting, governance, and stakeholder engagement, with experience supporting complex infrastructure, airport, or major capital projects.

  • Lead the development and implementation of project and programme risk management strategies and frameworks.
  • Establish risk management structures, reporting processes, and governance mechanisms across projects and programmes.
  • Promote a proactive risk management culture across project teams and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the identification, analysis, and evaluation of project risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to determine potential impacts on project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project and programme risk registers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop risk mitigation, contingency, and response plans.
  • Monitor risk status, mitigation effectiveness, and emerging threats throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure timely escalation of critical risks and issues to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present risk reports, dashboards, and risk analysis summaries for project teams, senior management, and governance committees.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational risk management policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Support project governance reviews and assurance activities.
  • Work closely with project managers, PMO teams, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to manage project risks effectively.
  • Facilitate risk workshops, reviews, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Provide expert advice on project risk exposure and mitigation strategies.
  • Support programme and project leadership in achieving delivery objectives while minimizing risk impacts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of risk management practices and reporting methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional risk management certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in project, programme, or enterprise risk management.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within airport, live operational, infrastructure, or major capital project environments.
  • Regional (Middle East) experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience establishing and managing risk management and reporting structures for projects and programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project and programme risk registers.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, controls, and assurance frameworks.
  • Experience preparing executive-level risk reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in risk management tools, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
